The Greek language and Greek script is not only the oldest in the world and Europe, as evidenced by their written monuments, but also the language and script of expression of the human spirit the first great moments of creation. This enabled them to develop first to the arts and science: Homer, Hesiod, Herodotus, Thucydides, Heraclitus, Democritus Plato, Aristotle, Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides are all fine examples. The first texts in Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy, Law, Medicine, History, Linguistics, etc. were written in Greek language and script. The first plays, and the Byzantine literary works were written in Greek. The Greek language and Greek script became international because of Alexander the Great. It was also widely spoken on international and Roman and Byzantine Empire, and many Romans came to Athens to learn Greek. Greek language and Greek script are those with which the major world religions were written and spread as well.
The Greek writing system is the easiest in the world, but only if taught properly, the student learning the alphabet and its rules; otherwise it appears as a maze or something the Chinese script. This is because many just see it in Greek script. There are many letters which are different in shape but are pronounced the same. People can be easily confused on the thought that they cannot remember what word is written with which letter and they soon abandon the effort to learn. However, this is a superficial and therefore wrong estimate. The Greek words are expressive and perfectly clear in their meaning and easy to understand. Their meaning comes by simply analyzing their constituent elements. The Greek language in (writing, spelling) is the most precise, perfect in the world because the only language that records as they are pronounced. It works like an electronic recorder does and beyond!
